Overview
This course is designed to teach students how to design and create functional Web sites. The students will learn how to use a Web editing program to create their pages, as well as how to write HTM, the language code used in the Internet. In addition to learning how to prepare images for use on their Web sites, students will acquire knowledge regarding design principles; how to follow procedures to achieve their desired outcome; and how to expand their own creativity. They will learn a valuable real-world skill that they may grow to use both personally and professionally.
The students will learn the following Adobe programs: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Flash . Dreamweaver serves as an HTML editor to facilitate the creation of web sites. The software allows the user to place the information on the page without hand-coding it on HTML. However, students will also need to be familiar with HTML by the end of the course. Photoshop is an image editor that assists in prepairing images for the Web. Flash is a program that allows the users to create animations. |
